Film and Video Umbrella appoints Angelica Sule as Director

Film and Video Umbrella (FVU) is delighted to announce the appointment of Angelica Sule as its new Director, taking over the reins from Director of over 30 years, Steven Bode.  Angelica is a director and curator dedicated to artistic development, with a wealth of experience leading progressive programmes of contemporary art and in commissioning new moving image. She joins from her role as Programme Director at Site Gallery in Sheffield, where she has been committed to helping artists access new ways of working, specifically in experimental digital practice and moving image. She has co-commissioned works by Appau Jnr Boakye-Yiadom, Sonya Dyer, Lara Favaretto and Sin Wai Kin

Angelica was a Clore Fellow in 2021 having previously worked at Nottingham Contemporary and completed the Young Curators Residency Programme at the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo in 2015. She studied Curating at the Royal College of Art, London, having formerly worked at the University of the Arts London and Gallery Primo Alonso.
