We are delighted to have supported Jersey Opera House in the appointment of Sebastian Warrack as its new Chief Executive Officer, beginning January 2026. This marks a significant moment in the Opera House’s new chapter, following its successful reopening on 3 October 2025.

Sebastian joins the organisation with a distinguished record of leadership in the UK’s cultural and performing arts sector. Most recently, he served as Executive Director of Wiltshire Creative and, previously, Salisbury Playhouse, bringing with him extensive experience of producing theatre, festivals, touring and collaborating with national and international cultural organisations.

Sebastian’s appointment supports the aspirations of The Creative Island: Jersey’s Arts Strategy, bringing new opportunities for artistic collaboration, audience development and cultural enrichment. His extensive network of national and international arts partners will help expand the reach and ambition of the Opera House’s programming, supporting its role as a cornerstone of Jersey’s cultural life.

On accepting the position, Sebastian Warrack said:

“Jersey Opera House has recently completed a spectacular £12.5m Capital project, generously funded by the Jersey government, and I am hugely honoured to have been appointed as the new CEO of this immaculately restored theatre. I greatly look forward to working with its brilliant staff and board to develop the theatre’s next chapter together. I would like to pay tribute to my predecessors for establishing solid foundations on which we can base the theatre’s future, and I look forward to building on their achievements.”
